Pokémon Go: There Is Double The Stardust In Gyms Now

Hey all, it seems amongst all the Ditto hype there has been something many Pokémon Go trainers have accidentally missed, and that’s all the extra stardust received from gyms.

A great deal of Pokémon Go trainers have gone about their day without noticing the increase in stardust collected, but there has been a few trainers who have noticed.

According to The Silph Road on Reddit, a number of Pokémon Go trainers are getting double the stardust from gyms.

Level Rewards and Unlockable Items in pokemon go

Every level your trainer gains in Pokemon GO will result in Level Rewards and Unlockable Items that change based on the trainer's current level. This page is used to track which items you receive, and the level they unlock.

Note that certain levels also unlock specific Items that will then become obtainable at PokéStops, including Razz Berries, higher tiers of Poké Balls, and Potions.

More States & Countries Added To Pokemon Tracker Testing

After reviewing your feedback, we have made some changes to the Nearby feature we were originally testing in San Francisco, California. We have changed the feature to only show the Nearby feature if a PokéStop is close to your location. In addition, we have also made changes to the way Sightings now works.

We will be expanding the ability for Trainers to test this updated version of the features and provide us with feedback. Starting today, Trainers in the following areas will now be able to use the new Nearby and Sightings functionality:
- United States of America: All states west of the Mississippi River (except Hawaii and Alaska)
- Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the western half of Ontario.
- Australia: All states and territories

Pokemon hatch at the same level as your trainer when you first acquire them, up to trainer level 20.
For example:

• Obtaining an egg when your trainer is level 10, the egg will hatch into a level 10 Pokemon even if you leveled up.
• Due to the level cap, even if you found the egg at trainer level 30, the egg will hatch into a level 20 Pokemon.

THE CURVEBALL BONUS IN POKEMON GO

The 10 XP bonus for landing a CURVEBALL has led some travelers to adopt the throwing style. But the question has long remained: does throwing CURVEBALLS increase my odds of capturing a wild encounter?

Anecdotal reports have been conflicting, with many travelers swearing by the throw method and others claiming capture rates are only affected by otherfactors. Statistically meaningful results had not previously been gathered to confirm.

THE NEW "NEARBY" TRACKER ROLLOUT (FINALLY) EXPANDS!

It had been almost 3 months since August 9th when, around 3am UTC, a new Pokemon tracker began appearing for users in San Francisco, CA.

The 'tracker' (named the NEARBY scanner) was geo-fenced to San Francisco, excluding other parts of the bay area like nearby Oakland - and the rest of the world! For months Niantic seemingly doubled down on infrastructure changes, and feature rollouts appeared to be largely put on hold. Alongside them, the experimental scanner. The geofence was not expanded.

But today, Niantic has finally announced that the geo-fenced boundaries of the NEARBY scanner are expanding! Areas included in the first wave are:

When a Pokemon evolves, its quick and charge move are re-rolled according to unknown odds. Conventional wisdom has settled on the idea that the moves are chosen randomly from those available to that Pokemon species. Unfortunately, no study has seriously examined evolution moveset factors, and due to a lack of this data, myths and rumors have perpetuated.

Fortunately, the Silph Research group has taken a look!

When a Pokemon evolves, its quick and charge move are re-rolled according to unknown odds. Silph researchers began recording various attributes of their Pokemon before evolution, including their moves, appraisals, STARDUST, and their evolved movesets. Over 10,000 evolutions were captured over the course of the study.
